The Jute Corporation of India Limited

The Jute Corporation of India Limited (JCI), established in 1971, is a Government of India enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textiles. JCI was created with the primary mandate of safeguarding the interests of jute farmers by ensuring fair prices for their produce, while also stabilizing the raw jute market in the country.

As the nodal agency for implementing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) operations in the jute sector, JCI plays a vital role in protecting farmers from market fluctuations and distress sales.
